1. Acceptance of Terms
By accessing or using the Philippine Laws Platform, you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service. If you disagree with any part of the terms, then you may not access the service. These terms apply to all visitors, users, and others who access or use the Service.
2. Use of Content
The legal documents accessible through the Philippine Laws Platform — including Republic Acts, other legislation, and Supreme Court decisions — are official government issuances and are in the public domain. The Philippine Laws Platform does not own, and does not claim any rights over, these documents. You are free to read, copy, download, and share this legal content in accordance with applicable law.
While the legal documents themselves are publicly available, the platform's software, design, interface, search index, and original compilation are proprietary to the Philippine Laws Platform. With respect to the platform's software and infrastructure, you may not:
- attempt to decompile or reverse engineer any software contained on the platform;
- use automated tools to scrape or harvest content in bulk in a manner that disrupts the platform's operation or degrades service for other users; or
- misrepresent the platform or its original compilation as your own work.
3. Disclaimer Information
The materials on the Philippine Laws Platform are provided on an 'as is' basis. We make no warranties, expressed or implied, and hereby disclaim and negate all other warranties including, without limitation, implied warranties or conditions of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, or non-infringement of intellectual property or other violation of rights. The platform is not a substitute for professional legal advice.
4. User Accounts
If you create an account with us, you must provide us information that is accurate, complete, and current at all times. Failure to do so constitutes a breach of the Terms, which may result in immediate termination of your account on our Service. You are responsible for safeguarding the password that you use to access the Service and for any activities or actions under your password.
5. Limitations
In no event shall the Philippine Laws Platform or its suppliers be liable for any damages (including, without limitation, damages for loss of data or profit, or due to business interruption) arising out of the use or inability to use the materials on the platform, even if we or an authorized representative has been notified orally or in writing of the possibility of such damage.
6. Modifications to Terms
We reserve the right, at our sole discretion, to modify or replace these Terms at any time. By continuing to access or use our Service after those revisions become effective, you agree to be bound by the revised terms. If you do not agree to the new terms, please stop using the Service.
