REPUBLIC ACT NO. 12275 AN ACT DECLARING THE KUYAMIS FESTIVAL AS THE OFFICIAL FESTIVAL OF THE PROVINCE OF MISAMIS ORIENTAL September 07, 2025

SECTION 1. The Kuyamis Festival is hereby declared the official festival of the Province of Misamis Oriental.

SEC. 2. The second Friday of January of every year is hereby declared a special non-working holiday in the province in celebration of the Kuyamis Festival.

SEC. 3. To carry out the purpose of this Act, there is hereby created a Special Festival Fund to be charged against any available fund of the province, including its share from the National Tax Allotment. The Province of Misamis Oriental is also authorized to receive donations and contributions from private individuals, corporations, and non-government organizations.

 SEC. 4. This Act shall take effect after fifteen (15) days following the completion of its publication in theOfficial Gazetteor in a newspaper of general circulation.
