REPUBLIC ACT NO. 12269 AN ACT DECLARING MAY OF EVERY YEAR A SPECIAL WORKING HOLIDAY IN THE MUNICIPALITY OF MALALAG, PROVINCE OF DAVAO DEL SUR, TO BE KNOWN AS "ARAW NG MALALAG", IN COMMEMORATION OF ITS FOUNDATION ANNIVERSARY September 07, 2025

SECTION 1. May 28 of every year is hereby declared a special working holiday in the Municipality of Malalag, Province of Davao del Sur, to be known as "Araw ng Malalag", in commemoration of its foundation anniversary. However, upon proclamation of the President, May 28 of every year shall be a special non-working holiday in the Municipality of Malalag, Province of Davao del Sur.

SEC. 2. This Act shall take effect after fifteen (15) days following the completion of its publication in theOfficial Gazetteor in a newspaper of general circulation.

This Act, which originated in the House of Representatives, was passed by the House of Representatives on November 21, 2022, amended by the  Senate of the Philippines on June 3, 2025 and which amendments were concurred in by the House of Representatives on June 10, 2025.
