AN ACT DECLARING MARCH 7 OF EVERY YEAR A SPECIAL WORKING HOLIDAY IN THE ISLAND GARDEN CITY OF SAMAL, PROVINCE OF DAVAO DEL NORTE, IN COMMEMORATION OF ITS FOUNDATION DAY
Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives of the Philippines in Congress assembled:
SECTION 1. March 7 of every year is hereby declared a special working holiday in the Island Garden City of Samal, Province of Davao del Norte, in commemoration of its foundation day. Upon proclamation of the President, March 7 of every year shall be a special non-working holiday in the said city.
SEC. 2. This Act shall take effect fifteen (15) days after its publication in theOfficial Gazetteor in a newspaper of general circulation.

This Act, which originated in the House of Representatives, was passed by the House of Representatives on September 5, 2022, amended by the Senate of the Philippines on December 17, 2024, and which amendments were concurred in by the House of Representatives on June 4, 2025.
