[ REPUBLIC ACT NO. 12171, April 11, 2025 ]

AN ACT CONVERTING THE SATELLITE OFFICE OF THE LAND TRANSPORTATION OFFICE IN THE MUNICIPALITY OF SAN JACINTO, TICAO ISLAND, PROVINCE OF MASBATE, INTO A REGULAR DISTRICT OFFICE AND APPROPRIATING FUNDS THEREFOR

Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives of the Philippines in Congress assembled:

SECTION 1. The satellite office of the Land Transportation Office (LTO) located in the Municipality of San Jacinto, Ticao Island, Province of Masbate, is hereby converted into a regular district office.

SEC. 2. The Secretary of the Department of Transportation shall immediately include in the Department's program the operationalization of the regular LTO District Office in the Municipality of San Jacinto, Province of Masbate, the initial funding of which shall be charged against the current year's appropriation of the LTO Satellite Office in the Municipality of San Jacinto, Ticao Island, Province of Masbate. Thereafter, the funding of which shall be included in the annual General Appropriations Act.

SEC. 3. This Act shall take effect after fifteen (15) days following the completion of its publication in theOfficial Gazetteor in a newspaper of general circulation.

This Act, which is originated in the House of Representatives, was passed by the House of Representatives on September 4, 2024, amended by the Senate of the Philippines on December 18, 2024, and which amendment were concurred in by the House of Representatives on January 21, 2025.
