AN ACT DECLARING NOVEMBER 28 OF EVERY YEAR A SPECIAL NONWORKING HOLIDAY IN THE MUNICIPALITY OF SANTA MARGARITA, PROVINCE OF SAMAR, IN COMMEMORATION OF ITS POUNDING ANNIVERSARY, TO BE KNOWN AS THE "SANTA MARGARITA FOUNDATION DAY'
Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives of thePhilippines in Congress assembled:
This Act which originated in the House of Representatives was passed by the House of Representatives and the Senate on May 29,2017 and October 10,2018, respectively.
SECTION 1. November 28 of every year is hereby declared a special nonworking holiday in the Municipality of Santa Margarita, Province of Samar, in commemoration of its founding anniversary, to be known as the "Santa Margarita Foundation Day". When the holiday falls on a Saturday or a Sunday, the special nonworking day shall be observed on the Monday that follows.
SEC. 2. This Act shall take effect fifteen (15) days after its publication in theOfficial Gazetteor in a newspaper of general circulation.
