AN ACT AMENDING REPUBLIC ACT NO. 9094, ENTITLED "AN ACT DECLARING THE SEVENTH (7TH) DAY OF JANUARY OF EVERY YEAR AS A SPECIAL WORKING PUBLIC HOLIDAY IN THE PROVINCE OF CAMIGUIN TO BE KNOWN AS 'ARAW NG CAMIGUIN'"



Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives of the Philippines in Congress assembled:

SECTION 1. Republic Act no. 9094, otherwise known as "An Act Declaring the Seventh (7th) Day of January of Every Year as a Special Working Public Holiday in the Province of Camiguin to be known as 'Araw ng Camiguin'", is hereby amended to read as follows:
"SECTION 1. January seven of every year is hereby declared as a special nonworking holiday in the Province of Camiguin to commemorate its charter day anniversary."
SEC. 2. This Act shall take effect upon its approval.

This Act which originated in the House of Representatives was finally passed by the House of Representatives and the Senate on February 3, 2003 and January 22, 2003, respectively.
