AN ACT CREATING CERTAIN BARRIOS IN THE MUNICIPALITY OF BATAC, PROVINCE OF ILOCOS NORTE.



Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives of the Philippines in Congress assembled:

SECTION 1. The barrio of Baay in the Municipality of Batac, Province of llocos Norte, is hereby divided into Three (3) distinct and separate barrios, to wit:
  1. The western portion of the barrio of Baay, Municipality of Batac, Province of llocos Norte, is hereby separated from said barrio, and constituted into a distinct and independent barrio of said municipality, to be known as the barrio of Baay Weste;
  2. The central portion of the barrio of Baay, Municipality of Batac, Province of llocos Norte, is hereby separated from said barrio, and constituted into a distinct and independent barrio of said municipality, to be known as the barrio of Baay Centro; and
  3. The northern portion of the barrio of Baay, Municipality of Batac, Province of llocos Norte, is hereby separated from said barrio, and constituted into a distinct and independent barrio of said municipality, to be known as the barrio of Baay Norte.
SEC. 2. The corporate existence of the new barrios shall commence when the first barrio officials shall have been elected in an election to be held simultaneously with the next regular election after the approval of this Act under the supervision of the Commission on Election and shall have qualified.SEC. 3. This Act shall take effect upon its approval.  Enacted without Executive approval, September 30, 1972.
