AN ACT TO STANDARDIZE THE SALARIES OF BUREAU DIRECTORS AND OTHER OFFICIALS UNDER THE DEPARTMENT OF HEALTH.



Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives of the Philippines in Congress assembled:

SECTION 1. Any existing law to the contrary notwithstanding, the standardized salaries for bureau directors and other officials under the Department of Health are hereby fixed as follows:
  1. Bureau Director, seventeen thousand four hundred eighty pesosper annum;
  2. Chief of Offices (Field Health Operations, Administrative Services, Health Education and Personnel Training, Disease Intelligence Center and Food and Drugs Administration), sixteen thousand pesosper annum;
  3. Regional Health Director, fifteen thousand four hundred eighty pesosper annum;
  4. Chief of Medical Division, fifteen thousand pesosper annum;
  5. Chiefs of the Jose R. Reyes Memorial Hospital (NGH), National Mental Hospital, San Lazaro Hospital, National Orthopedic Hospital, Maternity and Children's Hospital, the National Children's Hospital, and other Chiefs of designated Medical Centers and the Tala Leprosarium fifteen thousand pesosper annum;
  6. Chiefs of other national hospitals, fourteen thousand five hundred pesosper annum;
  7. Chief of Clinics, fourteen thousand pesosper annum;
  8. Medical Specialist III, Medical Adviser, Chief Malariologist and Field Research Malariologist, thirteen thousand five hundred pesosper annum;
  9. Medical Specialist II, Pharmacy Adviser, and Chief of Division (Non-Medical) Office of the Secretary, twelve thousand pesosper annum;
  10. Hospital Department Head, and Hospital Inspector twelve thousand pesosper annum;
  11. Medical Specialist I, eleven thousand pesosper annum;
  12. Supervising Resident Physician, Senior Resident Physician and Senior Clinic Physician (Tuberculosis), nine thousand pesosper annum;
  13. Resident Physician, and Clinic Physician, seven thousand pesosper annum.
Those serving on part-time basis shall receive one-half of the corresponding salaries mentioned therein.SEC. 2. In order to carry out the provisions of this Act, the sum of five hundred thousand pesos or part thereof is hereby appropriated, out of any funds in the National Treasury not otherwise appropriated, or from any savings of the Department of Health to cover salary differentials from July first, nineteen hundred and sixty-six, to June thirtieth, nineteen hundred and sixty-seven. Appropriations for the succeeding fiscal years shall be included in the annual General Appropriations Act.SEC. 3. This Act shall take effect upon its approval.Approved, June 18, 1966.
