REPUBLIC ACT NO. 4733 AN ACT AUTHORIZING THE APPROPRIATION OF ONE HUNDRED THOUSAND PESOS FOR THE ESTABLISHMENT OF A CERAMICS PROCESSING PLANT IN THE MUNICIPALITY OF SAN NICOLAS, PROVINCE OF ILOCOS NORTE, AND FOR OTHER PURPOSES. June 18, 1966

AN ACT AUTHORIZING THE APPROPRIATION OF ONE HUNDRED THOUSAND PESOS FOR THE ESTABLISHMENT OF A CERAMICS PROCESSING PLANT IN THE MUNICIPALITY OF SAN NICOLAS, PROVINCE OF ILOCOS NORTE, AND FOR OTHER PURPOSES.
Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives of the Philippines in Congress assembled:
SECTION 1. There is hereby established a ceramics processing plant in a place to be chosen by the Commissioner of the National Institute of Science and Technology in the Municipality of San Nicolas, Province of Ilocos Norte, where sufficient quantities of ceramics materials are found.
SEC. 2. The ceramics processing plant shall have the following functions:
SECTION 1. There is hereby established a ceramics processing plant in a place to be chosen by the Commissioner of the National Institute of Science and Technology in the Municipality of San Nicolas, Province of Ilocos Norte, where sufficient quantities of ceramics materials are found.
SEC. 2. The ceramics processing plant shall have the following functions:
- Study the efficient utilization of ceramic raw materials of the locality;
- Process and compound whatever clay or other ceramics raw materials that may be found in the locality for sale at cost to potters;
- Mix ceramics materials for glaze to be sold at cost to potters;
- Construct a community kiln for the use of local potters at nominal cost;
- Teach, guide and demonstrate to local potters the making of different kinds of ceramics products such as structural hollow clay blocks, building bricks, tiles, and household potter ware, like flower vases, art ware, containers, dinner ware, drinking vessels, insulators, etc; and
- Conduct such researches or studies as may be necessary for the efficient and effective functioning of the plant.
