REPUBLIC ACT NO. 4153 AN ACT TO STANDARDIZE THE SALARIES OF OFFICIALS IN THE BUREAU OF PUBLIC HIGH-WAYS. June 20, 1964

Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives of the Philippines in Congress assembled:

SECTION 1. Any existing law to the contrary notwithstanding,  salaries of the following positions in the Bureau of Public Highways are hereby fixed as follows:

1. Chief Highway Engineer,  thirteen thousand two hundred pesosper annum;
2. Highway  Division  Engineer, twelve  thousand pesosper annum;
3. Six Staff Civil  Engineers of the specialized divisions, twelve thousand pesos eachper annum.

SEC. 2. In order to carry out the provisions of this Act for the fiscal year ending June thirty, nineteen hundred sixty-five, the Commissioner of Public Highways, with the approval of the Commissioner of the Budget is hereby authorized to charge the salary differentials of the officials whose salaries are herein standardized against the appropriations for "Maintenance and Other Operating Expenses" under the General Appropriations Act for the fiscal year nineteen hundred sixty-five for the Bureau of Public Highways.SEC. 3. This Act shall take effect on July first, nineteen hundred sixty-four.Approved, June 20, 1964.
