REPUBLIC ACT NO. 3474 AN ACT TO CONVERT THE CAGAYAN VALLEY NATIONAL AGRICULTURAL SCHOOL IN THE MUNICIPALITY OF LAL-LO, PROVINCE OF CAGAYAN, INTO A COLLEGE TO BE KNOWN AS THE CAGAYAN VALLEY AGRICULTURAL COLLEGE, AND TO AUTHORIZE THE APPROPRIATION OF FUNDS THEREFOR. June 16, 1962

AN ACT TO CONVERT THE CAGAYAN VALLEY NATIONAL AGRICULTURAL SCHOOL IN THE MUNICIPALITY OF LAL-LO, PROVINCE OF CAGAYAN, INTO A COLLEGE TO BE KNOWN AS THE CAGAYAN VALLEY AGRICULTURAL COLLEGE, AND TO AUTHORIZE THE APPROPRIATION OF FUNDS THEREFOR.



Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives of the Philippines in Congress assembled:

SECTION 1. The Cagayan Valley National Agricultural School located in the Municipality of Lal-lo, Province of Cagayan, is hereby converted into a college to be known as the Cagayan Valley Agricultural College.

SEC. 2. The Cagayan Valley Agricultural College shall offer, in addition to the secondary agricultural curriculum, the following collegiate courses:

  1. Four-year Teacher Education leading to the degree of Bachelor of Science in Agricultural Education.
  2. Four-year Technical Agriculture leading to the degree of Bachelor of Science in Agriculture.
  3. Two-year Technical Agriculture leading to the title of Associate in Agriculture.
SEC. 3. The Cagayan Valley Agricultural College shall have a Superintendent of Agricultural Instruction and shall be under the Bureau of Public Schools.SEC. 4. The Secretary of Education is hereby empowered to reorganize said school accordingly.SEC.5. The sum of two hundred thousand pesos is hereby authorized to be appropriated out of any funds in the National Treasury not otherwise appropriated, for the conversion, operation and maintenance of the said college, in addition to the present national appropriation of the said school, for the fiscal year nineteen hundred sixty-three. Thereafter, the necessary sum for said purpose shall be included in the annual General Appropriation Acts.SEC. 6. This Act shall take effect upon its approval.Approved, June 16, 1962.
