REPUBLIC ACT NO. 2697 AN ACT CREATING A DEPARTMENT AND ADDITIONAL POSITIONS IN THE GENERAL AUDITING OFFICE AND PROVIDING FUNDS FOR THE OPERATION THEREOF. June 18, 1960

Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives of the Philippines in Congress assembled:

SECTION 1. There is hereby created a department under the Office of the Auditor General, General Auditing Office, to be known as the Program Audit Department, with the following positions and appropriation for its operation:

I. Personal Services
A. For new positions:
One chief supervising auditor at P7,236per annum	P7,236.00
Two supervising auditors at P6,552per annum	13,104.00
Two auditors IV at P5,928per annum	11,856.00
Seven auditors III at P5,112per annum	35,784.00
Four auditors III at P4,800per annum	19,200.00
Two auditors II at P 4,404per annum	8,808.00
Two auditors II at P3,960 per annum	7,920.00
Six Auditing Examiners II at P2,760per annum	16,560.00
Eight auditing examiners I at P2,400per annum	19,200.00
Two stenographers at P1,800per annum	3,600.00
Two clerical aides at P1,440per annum	2,880.00

B. For adjustment of salaries of key personnel to make them conform with salaries of other officials of equal rank in the General Auditing Office	P6,302.40

SEC. 2. There is hereby appropriated, out of any funds in the National Treasury not otherwise appropriated, the amount of one hundred eighty-eight thousand,  six hundred fifty pesos and forty centavos for the fiscal year nineteen hundred and sixty-one.  The corresponding appropriation for the succeeding fiscal years shall be included in the annual General Appropriations Act.SEC. 3. This Act shall take effect on July 1, 1960.Approved, June 18, 1960.
