REPUBLIC ACT NO. 1819 AN ACT TO AMEND CERTAIN SECTIONS OF THE CHARTER OF THE CITY OF BAGUIO, SO AS TO PROVIDE A NEW SCHEDULE OF SALARIES OF CITY OFFICIALS OF THE SAID CITY AND TO INCREASE THE NUMBER OF ASSISTANT CITY ATTORNEYS. June 22, 1957

AN ACT TO AMEND CERTAIN SECTIONS OF THE CHARTER OF THE CITY OF BAGUIO, SO AS TO PROVIDE A NEW SCHEDULE OF SALARIES OF CITY OFFICIALS OF THE SAID CITY AND TO INCREASE THE NUMBER OF ASSISTANT CITY ATTORNEYS.



Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives of the Philippines in Congress assembled:
 
SECTION 1. Sections two thousand five hundred forty-five A, two thousand five hundred fifty-one and two thousand five hundred sixty-one of the Revised Administrative Code are amended to read as follows:
"SEC 2545-A.Salaries of city officials.—The officials of the city shall receive the following salaries, payable from the funds of the city:

"(a) Mayor, nine thousand pesosper annum.
"(b) Vice-mayor, seven thousand two hundred pesosper annum.
"(c) Members of the city council, four thousand eight hundred pesos eachper annum.
"(d) Judge of the municipal court, seven thousand eight hundred pesosper annum.
"(e) City treasurer, city engineer, city attorney, city health officer, city auditor, and chief of police, seven thousand two hundred pesos eachper annum.
"(f) City assessor and superintendent of public utilities, six thousand six hundred pesos eachper annum.
"(g) Assistant city engineer and assistant city treasurer, six thousand pesos eachper annum."

"SEC. 2551.The vice-mayor.—There shall be a vice-mayor who shall be a member of the city council. During the absence of the mayor from the city or his disability for any reason, the vice-mayor shall discharge the duties of his office and exercise all his powers, except that of removing any officer from office."

"SEC. 2561.The assistant city attorneys.—There shall be three assistant city   attorneys who shall assist the city attorney as he shall direct. The assistant city attorneys shall receive the following compensation:

"(a) First assistant, six thousand pesosper annum.
"(b) Second assistant, five thousand one hundred pesosper annum.
"(c) Third assistant, three thousand seven hundred twenty pesosper annum."
SEC. 2. Section two thousand five hundred sixty-one-A of the Revised Administrative Code and all laws or parts thereof inconsistent herewith are repealed.SEC. 3. This Act shall take effect upon its approval.Approved, June 22, 1957.
