DIRECTING THE HOISTING OF THE NATIONAL FLAG AT THE LEGISLATIVE BUILDING TWENTY-FOUR HOURS A DAY
WHEREAS, the National Flag symbolizes national solidarity, patriotism, and love of country; and
WHEREAS, it is imperative to inculcate in the minds of our people a continuing consciousness of the patriotic deeds of our heroes and love for the Motherland through the symbolic embodiment thereof for a cohesive, strong, and healthy nation;
NOW, THEREFORE, I, Diosdado Macapagal, President of the Philippines, by virtue of the powers vested in me by law, do hereby direct the display of the National Flag at the Legislative Building twenty-four hours a day. The flagpole shall be lighted at night.
Done in the City of Manila, this 12th day of June, in the year of Our Lord, nineteen hundred and sixty-four.
