PROCLAMATION NO. 1240 DECLARING, 11 MAY 2026, A SPECIAL (NON-WORKING) DAY IN THE PROVINCE OF BILIRAN May 07, 2026

WHEREAS, Proclamation No. 174 dated 07 May 1993 declared 11 May of every year as a "local special day" in the Province of Biliran in celebration of its Foundation Anniversary;

WHEREAS, the Governor of Biliran requested that for purposes of clarity, a Proclamation be issued declaring May 11 as a non-working day;

WHEREAS,it is to be fitting and proper that the people of the Province of Biliran be given full opportunity to participated in the occasion and enjoy the celebration;

NOW, THEREFORE, I, RALPH G. RECTO, Acting Executive Secretary, by authority of the President,FERDINAND R. MARCOS, JR.,  do hereby declare Monday, 11 May 2026, a special (non-working) day in the Province of Biliran.

IN WITNESS WHEREOF, I have hereunto set my hand and caused the seal of the Republic of the Philippines to be affixed.
