PROCLAMATION NO. 1239 AMENDING PROCLAMATION NO. 1238, S. 2026, BY DECLARING 06 - 08 MAY 2026 AS SPECIAL (NON-WORKING) DAYS IN THE CITY OF CEBU AND THE MUNICIPALITY OF CORDOVA, PROVINCE OF CEBU May 05, 2026

WHEREAS, the 48^thASEAN Summit and Related Meetings will be held in Cebu, Philippines;

WHEREAS, Proclamation No. 1238, s. 2026 as special (non-working) days in the city of Lapu-Lapu and the Municipality of Cordova, Province of Cebu;

WHEREAS,the City of Cebu and the City of Mandaue are likewise identified areas or transport route for ASEAN delegates;

WHEREAS,in order to alleviate traffic an to allow the host country to secure the safety of participants in the said event, it is necessary to declare 06-08 May 2026 as special (non-working) days in the City of Lapu-Lapu and the Municipality of Cordova, Province of Cebu;

NOW, THEREFORE, I, RALPH G. RECTO, Acting Executive Secretary, by authority of the President,FERDINAND R. MARCOS, JR.,  do hereby declare 06-08 May 2026, as special (non-working) days in the City of Cebu, City of Mandaue, City of Lapu-Lapu and the Municipality of Cordova, Province of Cebu.

IN WITNESS WHEREOF, I have hereunto set my hand and caused the seal of the Republic of the Philippines to be affixed.
