PROCLAMATION NO. 1126 DECLARING FRIDAY, 09 JANUARY 2026, A SPECIAL (NON-WORKING) DAY IN THE CITY OF MANILA January 06, 2026

WHEREAS,the Feast of the Black Nazarene will be celebrated on 09 January 2026;

WHEREAS,millions of devotees are expected to flock the Quiapo Church and the City of Manila;

WHEREAS,in order to ensure orderly procession of devotees and to facilitate the flow of traffic, the City of Manila requests that Friday, 09 January 2026 be declared a special (non-working) day.

NOW, THEREFORE, I,RALPH G. RECTO ,Acting Executive Secretary, by authority of the President,FERDINAND R. MARCOS, JR.,do hereby declare Friday, 09 January 2026, a special (non-working) day in the City of Manila.

IN WITNESS WHEREOF,I have hereunto set my hand and caused the seal of the Republic of the President to be affixed.
