PROCLAMATION NO. 1189 DECLARAING TUESDAY, 20 JULY 2021, A REGULAR HOLIDAY THROUGHOUT THE COUNTRY, IN OBSERVANCE OF EID'L ADHA (FEAST OF SACRIFICE) July 15, 2021

WHEREAS,Eid'l Adhaor Feast of Sacrifice is one of the two greatest feasts of Islam;

WHEREAS,Republic Act No. 9849 provides thatEid'I Adhashall be observed as a regular holiday;

WHEREAS,the National Commission on Muslim Filipinos has recommended that 20 July 2021, Tuesday, be declared a national holiday, in observance ofEid'lAdha;and

WHEREAS,the observance ofEid'l Adhashall be subject to existing community quarantine and social distancing measures;

NOW, THEREFORE, I, RODRIGO ROA DUTERTE,President of the Philippines, by virtue of the powers vested in me by law, do hereby declare Tuesday, 20 July 2021, a regular holiday throughout the country, in observanceof Eid'l Adha.
