PROCLAMATION NO. 556 DECLARING TUESDAY, 21 AUGUST 2018, A REGULAR HOLIDAY THROUGHOUT THE COUNTRY, IN OBSERVANCE OF EID'L ADHA (FEAST OF SACRIFICE) August 15, 2018

WHEREAS,Eid'l Adhaor Feast of Sacrifice ts one of the two greatest feasts of Islam:

WHEREAS,Republic Act No. 9849 provides thatEid’l Adhashall be observed as a regular holiday; and

WHEREAS,the National Commission on Muslim Filipinos has recommended that 21 August 2018 be declared a national holiday, in observance ofEid'l Adha:

NOW, THEREFORE, I, RODRIGO ROA OUTERTE,President of the Philippines, by virtue of the powers vested in me by taw, do hereby declare Tuesday, 21 August 2018, a regular holiday throughout the country, in observance ofEid'lAdha.
