TEMPORARY BANNING OF THE IMPORTATION AND USE OF ENDOSULFAN
Pursuant to Section 5 (j) of Executive Order No. 192 and Section 4 of the General Provision of the Rules and Regulations of Republic Act 6969 or the “ Toxic Substances and Hazardous and Nuclear Wastes Control Act of 1990” and consistent with the mandate of the DENR to protect the public health from any undesirable risks hazards on the use of endosulfan, a temporary ban on the importation and/or distribution and use of said chemical is hereby imposed.
This temporary banning takes effect immediately until the Fertilizer and Pesticides Authority (FPA) issues an official directive on this matter.
