BOC MEMORANDUM SHIPMENTS UNDER HOLD ORDER August 02, 1999

A new and updated list of shipments under hold order in all ports of entry for non-payment of additional duties and taxes as of July 26, 1999 are found in the attached list marked Annex “A”. You are hereby directed to:

1. Place the importation of subject companies/entities on alert.
   
   
2. Hold their current shipments until all obligations are fully paid.
   
   
3. Disallow the privilege of a tentative release under CMO 3-95.
   
   
4. Deposit the corresponding security checks and refer to Legal Service unpaid checks whether in full or in part for filling of appropriate civil and/or criminal action as may be warranted.

The Entry Processing Units are hereby enjoined not to accept the filing of entries of importers found in the Hold Order List (Annex A). Chiefs, Entry Processing Unit of the three major ports shall submit a written report to their counterpart, Chief, Formal Entry Division, a list of shipments which are denied filing of entries indicating the name of the importer, Bill of Lading number and date denied (Copy furnished, he Deputy Commissioner for Assessment and Port Operations).
