MEMORANDUM CIRCULAR NO. 125 SUSPENSION OF WORK IN GOVERNMENT OFFICES AND CLASSESS AT ALL LEVELS IN PUBLIC AND PRIVATE SCHOOLS IN THE NATIONAL CAPITAL REGION AND THE PROVINCES OF ZAMBALES, BATAAN, BULACAN, PAMPANGA, TARLAC, NUEVA ECIJA, CAVITE, BATANGAS, RIZAL, LAGUNA AND QUEZON ON 13 AUGUST 2026, AT 3:00 IN THE AFTERNOON August 13, 2026

Upon the recommendation of the National Disaster Risk Reduction and Management Council relative to the continuous heavy rainfall associated with the Southwest Monsoon, work in government offices and classes at all levels in public and private schools in the National Capital Region and the provinces of Zambales, Bataan, Bulacan, Pampanga, Tarlac, Nueva Ecija, Cavite, Batangas, Rizal, Laguna and Quezon and hereby suspended on 13 August 2026, at 3:00 in the afternoon.

Agencies involved in the delivery of basic and health services, preparedness/response to disasters and calamities, and/or the performance of other vital services are hereby directed to continue their operations and render the necessary services.

Further thereto, the localized cancellation or suspension of classes and/or work in government offices in other areas may be implemented by their respective Local Chief Executives, pursuant to relevant laws, rules and regulations.

The suspension of work for private companies and offices is left to the discretion of their respective heads.

This Circular shall take effect immediately.
