MEMORANDUM CIRCULAR NO. 121 SUSPENSION OF WORK IN GOVERNMENT OFFICES AND CLASSES AT ALL LEVELS IN THE NATIONAL CAPITAL REGION AND THE PROVINCES OF ABRA, ILOCOS SUR, LA UNIN, BENGUET, PANGASINA AND ZAMBALES ON 05 AUGUST 2026 AT 3:00 IN THE AFTERNOON August 05, 2026

Upon the recommendation of the National Disaster Risk Reduction and Management Council relative to the forecasted continuous heavy rainfall associated with Tropical Storm Maymay and the enhanced Southwest Monsoon, work in govenrment offices and classes at all levels in the National Capital Region and the province of Abra, Ilocos Sur, La Union, Benguet, Pangasinan and Zambales on 05 August 2026, at 3:00 in the afternoon.

Agencies involved in the delivery of basic and health services, preparedness/response to disasters and calamities, and/or the performance of other vital services are hereby directed to continue their operations and render the necessary services.

Further thereto, the localized cancellation or suspension of classes and/or work in government offices in other areas may be implemented by their respective Local Chief Executives, pursuant to relevant laws, rules and regulations.

The suspension of work for private companies and offices is left to the discretion of their respective heads.

This Circular shall take effect immediately.
