MEMORANDUM CIRCULAR NO. 56 ENCOURAGING ALL GOVERNMENT LAWYERS TO PARTICIPATE IN THE 20TH INTEGRATED BAR OF THE PHILIPPINES NATIONAL CONVENTION OF LAWYERS July 17, 2024

 The Integrated Bar of the Philippines will hold the 20th National Convention of Lawyers from 30 January to 1 February 2025 at the Waterfront Hotel in Lahug, Cebu City with the theme"FROM MILESTONES TO HORIZONS: Strengthening the Future of Legal Profession."

In this regard, all lawyers presently employed in departments, agencies, and offices of the government, including government-owned or -controlled corporations, local government units, as well as state universities and colleges, are encouraged to participate in the said event, and those interested may attend, on official time, provided that:

1. They are issued with the pertinent clearances or authorities by their respective heads of office, in accordance with existing Department of Budget and Management and Civil Service Commission rules and regulations; and

2. Their participation in the said Convention will not adversely affect the operations of their offices, as well as the delivery of services to the public.

This Circular shall take effect immediately.
